What is infrared and what benefits do I get from full specturm?

The Sunlighten empower sauna brings a full spectrum of infrared to your body with many health benefits.  Near infrared (NIR) wavelength is the shortest of the wavelengths and brings energy to the cells. Since its absorbed just below the surface of the skin, it promotes skin renewal, cell and collagen health, wound healing and tissue growth. Compared to near infrared (wavelengths which effectively penetrate and heal the skin and FAR infrared wavelengths (which reach deep into the body, where toxins are stored),  MID infrared (MIR) wavelengths are longer than near infrared, thus allowing for greater penetration into soft tissue to help with inflammation, pain and decrease overall healing time. Mid infrared also expands blood vessels and increases circulation so more oxygen can reach injured parts of the body. Note: metabolism boosting is an added bonus which can assist with weight loss or maintenance.
